All was silent in the dreary chambers of Bastille. Even the guards made no noise as they changed shifts. At least the quiet allowed for a good night’s sleep. Especially for the new resident in the dreaded walls of the infamous building. Her date of execution was moved to the first priority; to be done as soon as possible. Needless to say, she was thrilled and flattered to hear the news. Imagine how excited she was to hear that they managed to arrange her execution for the very next day, July 14.
